TGIF

Dear Blog,

Well, all I have to say is TGIF. Speaking of which, there is a Friday's opening in our little strip mall downstairs. It says coming soon, but who knows what that means down here. Our power got cut off again on Tuesday, and I was pretty pissed. Our building is on one power bill and it is divided among residents, and there was some confusion or something, so ours got cut off. Anyway, I had nightmares of last year's debaucle. Luckily, this time we didn't have to wait for Mexican Luz y Fuerza to hook us up. As a side note, you may be interested in knowing that Luz and Fuerza NEVER came to turn our power on at our other apartment, even though they cut it off after we paid the bill. At least we didn't have to deal with them this time. The people in our building turned our power on, and they did it quite fast--I was impressed. As I was saying, Friday's is 'opening soon,' but Luz and Fuerza told Juan three different times they were coming 'tomorrow,' and since they never came, one can only assume that the words 'soon' and 'tomorrow' cannot be taken literally here. In other words, it will open when it opens.

Well, our Internet is working! Of course, my computer is still not working, but I have come to terms. I'll write to you 'soon.'
