Dear Blog,
It's always a sad selection Sunday when UNC is left out of the bracket. At least UConn also got left out. That makes me feel a little better. I will continue to celebrate last year's win. Hopefully, the Heels will get some therapy over the summer. We'll be back next year. Here's to the NIT.
Today, I watched 'Julie and Julia.' Now, I have to say that when the movie first came out I felt it was too soon for Meryl Streep and Amy Adams to appear together again on the big screen ('Doubt' was barely out of the theatres), but I did enjoy the movie. Meryl Streep was really good. It made me want to cook and eat a lot of butter. It also inspired me to write to you more, my dear Blog.
Juan is in Washington, so I am all alone with the doggies. Today was bath day, and my little Blu is shedding like an area rug from Ikea. I mean, there is black hair everywhere. I must've swept like 10 times already today. At least they are all clean and fluffy. I always like to sing to my dogs as I bathe them...
(to the tune of 'The most wonderful time of the year')
It's the most wonderful time of the week
There'll be water and scrubbing and bubbles and hugging
and you will be clean!
It's the most wonderful time of the week.
Here's to another week...

March Madness
Dear Blog,
It's already March, and I haven't written to you at all! I'm sorry, Blog. I'm not gonna lie and say that I've been busy cause it would be an untruth. I have just been lazy. It's been hot here, and I get lazy when it's hot. Ugh. What is with all this 'nice' weather? I just wish it would rain.
Well, last weekend we went to Xochimilco (pronounced S0-Che-Milko). It has all these canals and you can rent boats and ride around and stuff. It's not quite Venice, but it was fun. We took the dogs on our little boat, and they seemed to have a good time. We went to celebrate Jaun's assistant's birthday. Blu almost fell in the water at one point. She saw something that she wanted and started going after it--I tend to think it was her reflection. Luckily, I grabbed her before she dove in. Sometimes, Blu sees things when there is nothing there. She's either crazy or has some sort of sixth sense (a la Haley Joel Osment). I'm going with crazy.
On Sunday, Juan and I watched the Oscars. I got to see the entire show this year. The nice thing about being in Mexico for the Oscars is that I don't have to stay up till 11:30 to see all the good awards. I'm an hour behind, so I get to go to bed by 11. Anyone who knows me knows that this is important. I liked what Sandra Bullock had to say. I'm just sorry that she forgot to thank her Asheville stalker (aka my sister). I like to think that it just slipped her mind.
This week has been so-so. Tomorrow is Friday!! I am really excited cause we have Monday off. I have no idea what holiday it is, but I don't care. I think I'll rent some movies and skype some loved ones.
Love you,
Jenny en la ciudad
