North of the Border

Dear Blog,

I just got back from a long weekend with the sisterhood in San Diego.

I left on Saturday morning and arrived in Phoenix. I almost missed my connecting flight because the computers were down at customs, so they had to do everything by hand. It was crazy, Blog! After I got out of customs, I only had twenty-five minutes to catch my flight, and I had to go back through security with my carry-ons! When I put my purse in the x-ray machine, they had to run it through again. Apparently, if you carry a lot of change, it makes it hard to see what's inside or something. They ran my bag through 3 times! I was so stressed out. I ran all the way to my gate, Home Alone style. When I finally got there, I could barely breathe, and I was one of the last ones to get on. I don't think I caught my breath until I got to San Diego.

On Sunday, we went to Sea World. I had mixed feelings about it since we watched "The Cove" on Saturday night. If you don't know about it, "The Cove" is an Oscar winning documentary about a dolphin slaughter that takes place in Japan. It was quite disturbing. We didn't see the dolphin show at Sea World, but we did see the Shamu show. The trainers don't get in the water any more, or so it seems.

Some other highlights from my trip:

1. Rocking out to Justin Bieber.
2. Eating salmon in PAHCHMENT.
3. Discovering coconut m & m's.
4. Chick-Fil-A.
5. Dying my sisterhood's hair, a two-tone look.
6. Watching intense television (The Cove, Food Inc., Intervention). No light-hearted episodes of "The Witches of Waverly Place" this trip.
7. The hot tub. It was just like Jersey Shore (really, really kidding there).
8. GigGles.

That's about it for now.

Talk to you soon,
Jenny en la ciudad

P.S. I love you ;).
