Moving on up...

Dear Blog,

I'm sorry I haven't written to you in so long, but we moved apartments and still don't have internet. Don't worry, we should be getting internet soon--at least, I hope.

Anyway, not much has been going on other than the move. My birthday came and went. I'm afraid that birthdays become less and less fun the older you get. Juan and I went to dinner, and I think that about covers it.

Last Saturday, we moved apartments. We were very happy to leave the other place. No more crumbling walls, loud trucks driving by, nasty smog creeping in through the windows. We are moving on up and not a moment too soon. Our new apartment has lots of wonderful qualities. First of all, there aren't holes in the walls. When you walk in, you are greeted by a little foyer and the stairs (to your left). Our bedroom and bathrom are also on the first level (the door is straight across when you enter). When you go up the stairs, the guest bathroom is straight across and to the left is the guest bedroom. To the right, there's the living room, dining room, and kitchen. Oh, did I mention that we have three balconies? That's right, one off of each bedroom and one off of the dining room. There is also a park for residents only, which means Monty can run around and play with other dogs, and we don't have to worry about him eating trash and getting into the nastiness that lies on the streets of Mexico City. It's great. The other day, Monty peed on another dog's head--so embarrassing. Oh, and the dog was twelve years old. In Monty's defense, the other dog was trying to smell his stuff right as he was relieving himself.

Well, that's about all there is to report for now. I'll take some pictures as soon as we get internet and everything.

Yours truly,
Jenny en la ciudad
