Dear Blog,

I think Mexican Revolution Day is tops! I love a long weekend, and since I don't get Thanksgiving off, I figure I better enjoy today.

Let me tell you about my weekend. Saturday was Juan's birthday--he turned 30! We celebrated by taking Monty to the park in the morning. He played with his friend Dali, a boy Jack Russel Terrier. It was funny because Dali kept humping Monty. He humped him from behind, he humped his head, he humped him from any angle he could get him. It was really funny, and little Monty just took it.

After the park, we came home and rested for a little while. Then, we went to a Colombian restaurant for dinner with a couple of friends. We ate way too much, but it was celebratory. It's not every day that Juan turns 30. After dinner, we got some dessert at El Globo, a popular Mexican bakery. After that, we just went home and stayed in for the rest of the night.

Yesterday, we went to lunch with some friends. After lunch, we went to a modern art museum. It was cool. There were some interesting paintings and stuff, so I enjoyed it. After the museum, we went to the grocery store. When we got there, we saw that they were selling Christmas trees, so we went ahead and got one. I know it seems early, but they don't celebrate Thanksgiving, so I need Christmas to come a little earlier this year...so sue me. So, we spent the evening decorating the tree (but I am still saving my nativity). It's the most wonderful time of the year!

I think we are just gonna chill today. Monty is lying on the floor in a sunny spot, and Juan is typing something on his computer.

Take Care,
Jenny en la ciudad

by the way, i think your littlest man may need Law & Order SVU after the incidents you described. at least you lovingly looked on ... and wrote a narrative about it. ha ha!!

I just realized that your Mexican Revolution Day was like my Nevada Day ... even the same time of year!
