Dear Blog,
I was missing Washington so much today. It was the place to be...and still is. I watched coverage of the innauguration on television, but I missed the actual event cause I was at work. I got home in time for the parade--great. Of course, I hate parades. Something about floats and marching bands--it makes me cringe. The only parade I ever enjoyed was the Asheville Christmas Parade that featured Dominique Moceanu. Anyway, it was amazing to see all those people in D.C. I think they said there were close to 2 million people there. I mean, a million people don't even live in that city--it's crazy! It was such a historical moment though. I was bummed that I wasn't there.

I was sorry that you weren't still there too! I would have been looking for you in the crowds but instead I just kept a look out for your counterparts. It was incredible!
