The Rachel

Dear Blog,

Yesterday, I got my hair cut and colored. I had Juan explain to my stylist exactly what I wanted because I didn't want there to be any confusion. She put in highlights and said that she should color the rest of my hair to even everything out. I pretty much let her do what she wanted. I have to tell you that I am not crazy about the color, but it is okay. It is darker than I am used to, but I figure it is good to change things up every now and then. I am also pretty sure that she gave me the Rachel (you know, the hairstyle popularized by Jennifer Aniston in the first season of 'Friends'). I wasn't crazy about all the layers, so I had Juan cut off the longer layers and now it is more like a bob. I'll post pictures later.

Also, I took Monty to the vet today. He was such a drama queen. They gave him two vaccines, a couple of pills, and they had to take his blood. Well, the first vaccine went rather smoothly, but he was not interested in the second. He kept trying to jump off the table, so the vet had to call for help. Finally, they got that one in, but they still had to take his blood. Well, he was not about to let them take his blood. It took three people to hold the little bugger down, and he still jerked away as soon as the vet got the needle in his leg. Since he pulled his leg out too soon, he had a little stream of blood running down his leg, so they tried the other leg. Well, the same thing happened--the little guy yelped and jerked and ended up with a bloodied leg. They finally got enough blood, but I am pretty sure Monty was traumatized. Little does he know that on his next visit, he's gonna get his balls cut off.
