Dear Blog,
Yesterday, Juanty and I went to La Marquesa, which is a national park here in Mexico. It's not far from Mexico City, maybe forty-five minutes. We went with some of the people that Juan works with, and we had a good time.
Juan made me ride a horse, and I was very nervous. Apparently, I don't like riding horses very much. It's interesting cause this is a recent development. When we were in Colombia, I became very scared when I rode a horse. Yesterday, I felt like I was going to fall off, and I kept asking Juan to let me get down. I mean, people die riding horses. Am I right? Plus, horses kick. Am I right? I don't think I'll be doing that again any time soon.
Monty met some dogs that he played with. He chased them for about an hour straight. One dog was only interested in humping Monty, and the other was only interested in playing. Pretty typical doggy date for the little guy.
In the afternoon, it started to rain and got pretty cold, so we hung out in this little restaurant. There was a fireplace, and Juan became very involved in caring for the fire. He was a little obsessed with adding firewood and poking it. Of course, we smelled like campfire the rest of the day, but it was nice.
On our way back, we saw a bad car accident. It looked like it had just happened, and Juan said he saw a man holding a child. We were on the other side of the road, but we went back to check on the family. By the time we got there, the ambulance had already arrived.
I'll write again soon,
Jenny en la ciudad
