Six Banderas (a.k.a. Flags)

Dear Blog,

I've got good news--we have internet! We finally got real wireless, so I have a strong signal and everything. Let me catch you up on the goings-on in Mexico.

Monday was some sort of holiday here, so we decided to go to Six Flags. That's right, there's a Six Flags here in Mexico City. I must confess that I was a little concerned about the rollercoasters here, but I didn't fall off or get my feet cut off or anything. Of course, the day started off a little rough. We got there early to get a jump on the crowd, so we got in line for the first big rollercoaster. Well, we waited for about an hour. We were two people away from getting on the ride when they tell us it's gonna take another hour cause there is some sort of mechanical issue. As soon as we left to go to another ride, it started to rain and they closed all the rollercoasters! It seemed like it wasn't meant to be. We spent 3 hours at Six Flags before we went on anything. Finally, the sun came out and we were able to go back to first rollercoaster, Superman Returns. It was my favorite of all the rides. It was a classic (meaning no loops, which I am not a big fan of). We bought flash passes and ended up doing 3 big rollers back to back. After all that, I was totally ready to go. We did a couple more rides and went home. I was wiped.

Not much else to report from the land down under (down under the U.S. that is). It's been raining a lot around here. The darker and drearier the day, the better.

I should be writing you more frequently now that I have the net.

Love,
Jenny en la ciudad
