Dear Blog,
As you may know, I live in the noisiest apartment in the world. As if traffic isn't bad enough, sometimes we are blessed with the occasional concert. Well, tonight we got to experience firworks right outside our window. It reminded me of the time that Juan and I went with my parents to the 'Ice Cream Social/4th of July Concert' at my parents' sister church. I thought the evening couldn't get any weirder after the concert, but I was wrong. They basically lit fireworks over our heads, and I think that part of my hearing loss is from that night. I have a confession to make, Blog: I am not impressed by fireworks. They fall into the 'things I could live without' category, which also includes parades. Apparently, Monty is not too fond of them either. He started to pee as soon as he heard the thundering of the fireworks. At first, I just thought he was being a bad boy, but then I discovered him hiding in the bathroom and shaking uncontrollably. It was like the Deesh during a thunderstorm. Meanwhile, Juan was the only one enjoying the show.
Love,
Jenny en la ciudad

p.s. elena could never live in your apartment
hilarious, sisterhood -- i think if it scares small children and animals and grown manimals ... well, then it's something we could all do without.
btw, glad to know dad and monty have something in common ...
