Dear Blog,
Yesterday, I fell asleep and woke up to an episode of "Will and Grace." I have to tell you that I never really watched this show, but I was pleasently surprised. In the episode, Jack didn't really like Grace because they didn't have anything in common. Then, Grace was looking through a celebrity magazine and saw a picture of Michelle Kwan and kept talking about how much she loved her, and Jack got so excited and started screaming about how she was robbed of the gold. Then they both started bashing Tara Lipinski, and I was thinking, "This is my kinda show." Blog, you may or may not know this about me, but I am a huge Michelle Kwan fan and every time I think about her getting the silver medal and Lipinski stealing the gold, I just start to fume. Anyway, I was rolling over this episode because it was like someone climbed into my brain and wrote down all my thoughts on the subject. I'll leave it at that.
Now, I am watching American Idol and loving it! I feel such a connection to America right now--it's great! First off, what was with the girl in the bikini? And Ryan, Simon, and Randy were so gross! All I have to say is this: Brian Dunkleman wouldn't have fallen all over her. She wasn't a great singer, and Kara and Paula were right about her. And what of Sexual Chocolate? Or should I say Sexual Chacolate? It's unfortunate when they spell a word wrong in a tatoo. Anyway, there are some people I like already. I LOVED Scott, the legally blind piano-man who sang one of my favorite Billy Joel songs. He seemed so humble and down-to-earth. I want him to go far.
Blog, I know that you are probably thinking that my life revolves around television, but that's what's going on, right here in Mexico City. I also cleaned the entire apartment and took Monty on a long walk, but I didn't have anything interesting to say about that.
Love,
Jenny en la ciudad

oh sisterhood, i think you will find many a Will & Grade episodes that will bring your inner thoughts vividly to life. i miss sharing olympic moments together in real time ... ahh, remember how we watched kim zmeskal falter in the face of such high expectations for barcelona? and how we heard the gymnasts speak for the first time and realized that many of them had mike tyson voices? ohhh ... and that trek in wrightsville beach from the laundromat to find a place with a TV so we could watch the women's all around (was it the all around or the team finals? i think it was the all around...)
